The small thing to remember
Look for clutter in its picker. Check Escape → MODS → GLADE MODS for changes that need to be enabled for the current glade.
Know which kind of mod you installed
The developer lists basic Workshop support from version 1.16. Mods can add clutter meshes or replace existing meshes, textures, and configurations.
Added clutter becomes available in the picker without opting each glade in. Other mods need to be enabled for the individual glade from Escape → MODS → GLADE MODS. Check the item's description rather than expecting every mod to change the entire scene.
- Use the Workshop link on the game's Steam page.
- Read the item's description and identify whether it adds clutter or replaces assets.
- For clutter, inspect the picker. For other changes, inspect the current glade's mod selection.
Installed, but nothing changed?
An added clutter item does not place itself in your scene. Choose it from the clutter picker. For asset replacements, check the current glade in Escape → MODS → GLADE MODS, select the item and Apply.
Before subscribing or reinstalling again, note the item name and read any download or installation message shown by Steam or the game. Then compare that information with the item description. Do not treat a subscription alone as proof that installation finished.
- Identify whether the item adds clutter, replaces assets, or does both.
- For clutter, select and place an item from the picker.
- For replacements, enable the mod for the glade you actually opened and choose Apply.
- Test one change at a time and record the visible result.
Keep your checks small and reversible
Start with one item so you can identify what changed. Keep a copy of a glade you care about before experimenting. If something looks wrong, record the mod name and which glade it affected.
The developer notes that modded photo-mode screenshots carry a + mods label. Keep that context when sharing a build so another player can understand what they are seeing.
Be careful with older installation guides
The developer says a legacy Whiterun ZIP can be placed in the game's mods folder without patching game files. Asset replacements still need the glade to opt in.
Keep the original archive and follow the current official guide for its folder structure. A tutorial that asks you to overwrite installation files may describe an older workflow; check its date and the item author’s current instructions before changing anything.
